The Prince and Princess of Wales are said to have started taking part in a family activity with their two eldest children in a pub near one of their royal homes
The Prince and Princess of Wales have reportedly set up a family team so they can participate in a much-loved pub pastime.
It has been reported that William and Kate, along with Prince George , 12, and Princess Charlotte , 10, regularly enter a weekly quiz at a pub near one of their royal homes. It comes as the future King and Queen are said to want to give their children a normal upbringing as possible - with the pair both thought to have been regular pub quiz-goers when they lived in Anglesey in North Wales following their fairytale wedding in 2011.
One member of a rival team told The Sun : "The quiz is actually very tricky but also a lot of fun. My lips are sealed on whether Team Wales has ever won first prize."
It's not known exactly what the royals' specialist subjects are; however, given he is a passionate football fan, it's likely William will excel in anything related to the beautiful game.
However, he might struggle in any history rounds as he admitted in his appearance on the Apple TV show The Reluctant Traveller with Eugene Levy that he struggles with the subject, but eldest son George is "much better" at it.
It comes as William revealed he is trying to avoid the mistakes his parents made and wants to do whats best for my children. William said his childhood feeling of safety, security, love was cut short when his mother Diana, Princess of Wales and father the King separated when he was a young boy.
His comments were made during an appearance on comic actor Eugene Levys travel series, and he told the celebrity: Getting the balance of work and family life right is really important.
Because for me, the most important thing in my life is family, and everything is about the future and about if you dont start the children off now with a happy, healthy, stable home, I feel youre setting them up for a bit of a hard time and a fall.
The future king appears a hands-on dad, describing family meals around the dinner table, taking part in the school run and how he and wife Kate do not allow Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and seven-year-old Prince Louis to have mobile phones.
When Levy, star of the series Schitts Creek, suggested to William a normal homelife started with his mother, the prince replies: Yes definitely, I think its really important that that atmosphere is created at home.
You have to have that warmth, that feeling of safety, security, love. That all has to be there, and that was certainly part of my childhood. My parents got divorced at eight, so that lasted a short period of time.
But, you take that and you learn from it and you try and make sure you dont do the same mistakes as your parents. I think we all try and do that and I just want to do whats best for my children, but I know that the drama and the stress when youre small really affects you when youre older.
